A Little Bit About Us
The New Orleans Fire Fighters Association, founded in 1939, is a Labor Union affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF Local 632) and the AFL-CIO.
According to our Constitution “The object of this Local shall always be, first and primary, dedicated to raising the dignity of our profession. It shall promote by proper means the material and intellectual welfare of all its members. Finally, this Local shall continually strive for the raising of both the working and living standards of all its members.”
We are the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for Fire Fighters, Fire Operators, Fire Captains and Fire Prevention Inspectors at the New Orleans Fire Department.
In accordance with our Object, we are always accepting donations to improve the welfare of our members and their families through our Benevolent Fund, Health and Safety programs, and Education Initiatives. Please consider giving to these causes.
🔥 Happy #InternationalFirefightersDay to our amazing #IAFF #local 632 members who risk their lives every day to keep our communities safe.
We appreciate your dedication and service.
Stay safe!
